Case Studies
We recently helped inovia, an Australia-based mining company, through our new service CSR Light, offering their potential clients Gift Certificates through the UniversalGiving® website. With CSR Light services, inovia was able to welcome new clients in their holiday giving campaign. inovia sent Gift Certificates of $100 for UniversalGiving® to onboard clients as a way of promoting giving and retaining new clients during the holiday season. UniversalGiving helped with all operational support, from crafting emails to sending and checking up on the gift certificates.
Our CSR Light service helped inovia achieve client retention. By offering an honorary donation to their clients at point of purchase, inovia demonstrated the goodwill inherent in inovia, both in their partnerships and in giving to those in need.
UniversalGiving® is proud to serve Cisco in both international and domestic NGO Vetting. We first started vetting for Cisco on an international level. They loved what we did so much that we now vet all of Cisco’s grants based on our proprietary Quality ModelTM and our standards of International Vetting Services. We also helped Cisco find local NGOs to donate to with our Launch a City program, where we launched 40 countries across the globe.
Our relationship with Cisco is nothing short of fantastic. We ensure that all Cisco employees can donate to trusted local, on-the-ground NGOs that have been vetted through our unique Quality Model. UniversalGiving is also proud to save Cisco time by handling all NGO-related calls and questions. Cisco and Chairman John Morgridge have endorsed our Quality Model as the most advanced in the industry.
“On behalf of all of us here at Cisco, I want to thank you and the entire UG team for helping us close out FY12 on time and under a strong and consistent process that is now the standard across the company. It is among the best in client service that I have come across – and I have received similar feedback from others on our team. We look forward to our continued partnership.”

Fluor came to us for Emergency NGO Vetting for their Centennial Fund to celebrate their 100th year in existence. They needed to vet around 20 organizations in a 2-week period. We were proudly able to jump in immediately and vet these organizations. These organizations were located all over the world and required in-depth reviews. Our team of experts with over 60 years of experience worked around the clock to complete the vetting in a timely manner.
Today you can check out the Fluor Centennial Community Fund page to see the excellent organizations that were vetted by UniversalGiving’s rigorous Quality Model.
“The level of professionalism of the UniversalGiving® team is 100% fabulous. They executed our directions, provided strong leadership and completed high-level NGO Vetting Services under very strict deadlines. The high level of follow-up, thoroughness, and open communication certainly added to the success of our Centennial Community Fund project. In addition, the willingness of the UniversalGiving team to learn about our company and our culture was a crucial component to our success.”

In 2011 UniversalGiving® partnered with Symantec to help bring their domestic volunteering to an international level. We created a Global Volunteer Plan to help recruit volunteers and manage the process. This was achieved through a critical analysis of Symantec’s history of volunteerism, where we held verbal discussions with local teams and global leaders to assess the current strategy and outline a desired program. Once created, the Global Volunteer Plan identified how to expand the volunteer program while listening to local team needs, assigning roles to help delineate the process on a global scale.
With the help of our Corporate Social Responsibility Consulting Services, Symantec was able to expand their volunteering on an international scale. UniversalGiving® provided operational support through the entire process, creating slide decks to introduce key stakeholders to the program and setting up internal social media for employees to share stories.
Sabre Holdings came to us looking for immediate help to vet one international NGO. UniversalGiving® immediately contacted the organization and we successfully vetted the organization within one week. We work with any volume of NGO Vetting, further customizing the services we provide our clients. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Sabre Holdings.
We are proud to announce a budding partnership with Ozone Global. After hearing Pamela interviewed by World Business Academy, Ozone Global decided to make a regular monthly donation to UniversalGiving, approximately 1% of their annual profit. This is an exciting model for other companies, especially as they are a small company that has nevertheless decided to make this commitment. Ozone Global is based in Australia and Japan, demonstrating UniversalGiving’s international reach. We are very grateful for Ozone Global’s commitment to helping trusted organizations get the funding and volunteers they need.
